BP Lubricant Maintenance Dredging

Location: Port Allen, LA

Project Description: Construct a disposal area and the fusion of HDPE poly pipe for the removal of 1,000 cubic yards of material to the disposal area that was over 1,500 feet away with an elevation change of 30 feet. Javeler worked with BP Castrol on their barge scheduling to prevent dredging operations from interfering with the incoming barges which ultimately allowed BP to stay operational. The disposal area levee design increased settling time for the dredged sediment to completely settle before reaching the weir box which allowed clean water back into the channel.
